What this comparison is

WebJi wrote this page. WebJi is not BigRock or GoDaddy, and this is not their support desk. The names are used only to identify the products. Their phone numbers, chat lines and support email addresses are not published here.

Both sell domain names and web hosting to customers in India. This page records what their own public pages displayed on 29 October 2026, and what those numbers do and do not tell you. It is not a ranking and it is not a review of anyone's support staff.

Domain prices read on 29 October 2026

BigRock's domain price list and GoDaddy's India domains page were read on that date. Renewal was printed on BigRock's list. It was not printed on GoDaddy's domains landing page, so this table leaves that cell blank rather than guessing.

TLDBigRock first purchaseBigRock 1-year renewalGoDaddy India, first year on the domains page
.com₹749/year₹1,479/year₹899 for 1 year
.in₹549/year₹899/year₹299 for 1 year
.co.in₹669/year₹819/year on the 1-year lineNot on the domains landing page we read

BigRock's list also showed multi-year registration rates that differ from the one-year renewal, including a .co.in multi-year renewal figure that was not ₹819. Use the term you are actually buying. GoDaddy's domains page described domain privacy as included with the domains shown. BigRock's price list, in the copy we saved, did not show a privacy fee. Check the add-on line in that cart. Neither page's tax line was in the figures above.

Shared hosting prices read the same day

GoDaddy's India web hosting page showed two monthly figures on each card and the words "For first 3-yr term" under the lower figure. That read did not include a sentence saying "renews at". The higher figure is the other price printed on the card. Confirm which one the cart will charge later.

cPanel was listed on all four. Email and a domain were listed on Economy, Deluxe and Ultimate, and were not listed on Starter in that read. Source: GoDaddy India web hosting.

BigRock's Linux hosting offer page led with ₹39/month, footnoted as the effective monthly price for the first year when you buy for two years. The Standard row on that page was stable enough to quote. Other plan rows on the same page did not parse into one consistent table, so they are omitted.

What those hosting pages say is included

BigRock's Linux offer page says the panel is cPanel, Softaculous is opened from cPanel, SSL is included, SSH is available, and you can choose an India or a US server. One answer on that page puts a 10 GB limit on email storage. CodeGuard backups are described as something you can add, not as part of the base row. The page states a 30-day money-back guarantee.

GoDaddy's cards, in the read above, tie the lower price to a three-year term. Storage, site count and cPanel are on the card. Do not assume mail, a domain or SSL are on Starter just because they appear on a larger plan.

A support quality score is not something either pricing page published, so this page does not invent one.

What to read in your own cart

Four lines change the comparison more than the advertisement does.

  • The term the low price requires, in months, and the amount due today.
  • The price after that term. If the page does not print it, the cart's renewal line does.
  • Add-ons selected by default: privacy, backup, email, a website builder.
  • Tax. The figures on this page are the numbers those public pages showed, not a GST-inclusive total.

BigRock's Standard second-year figure of ₹199/month is below the ₹300/month L-Basic rate printed on this website. GoDaddy's other Starter figure, ₹299/month, is close to that ₹300 rate. Neither comparison uses the ₹39 or ₹89 first-term number as the long-term price.

Rates printed on this website

These figures are WebJi's, printed on webji.in. They are not a price for any other company.

Shared hosting lists L-Basic at ₹300/month (₹3,000 for one year), L-Unlimited at ₹400/month (₹4,000) and L-Developer at ₹700/month (₹7,000), before 18% GST. That page also says renewal rates are printed before you pay. The shape of the price is a monthly rate and a one-year total, not a 36-month or 48-month introductory rate.

Domain registration lists indicative ranges, before 18% GST: .com registration ₹900–1,200/year and renewal ₹1,000–1,400/year; .in registration ₹500–800/year and renewal ₹700–1,000/year. A range is not a cart total. The amount at checkout is the price.

Where another company's renewal figure is lower than ₹300/month, that is what their page showed. Compare that renewal figure with L-Basic, then add tax on both sides. A lower first-term advertisement is a different number from the renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which number should I compare, the first year or the renewal?

Compare the renewal, then decide if the first-term discount is worth the term it requires. On 29 October 2026 BigRock printed a .com renewal of ₹1,479/year against a ₹749 first purchase. GoDaddy's domains landing page printed ₹899 for a one-year .com and did not print the renewal, so that renewal has to come from your cart.

Did GoDaddy's India domains page include privacy?

The India domains page read on 29 October 2026 described domain privacy as included with the domains shown. BigRock's domain price list, in the copy saved that day, did not show a privacy line. Check BigRock's cart for an add-on before you treat the two as the same.

What did BigRock charge for .in?

BigRock's price list showed .in at ₹549 for the first purchase and ₹899 to renew for one year. GoDaddy's India domains page showed .in at ₹299 for one year and did not print a renewal on that landing page. Longer BigRock terms had their own rates.

Is ₹89 a month the GoDaddy hosting price?

₹89/month was the lower figure on the Starter card, labelled for the first three-year term. The same card also showed ₹299/month. The read on 29 October 2026 did not include a 'renews at' sentence, so the cart is where that second figure gets confirmed.

Does moving a site off either company require their phone number?

No. Keep the account until you have copied the files, the database and any mail you need, then change DNS. The steps are on the move-off pages for each company. This page does not list a support number for either of them.

How do WebJi's own shared rates compare with these cards?

WebJi's shared page lists L-Basic at ₹300/month before 18% GST. That is close to the ₹299 figure on GoDaddy's Starter card and higher than the ₹199 second-year figure on BigRock's Standard row. Compare those renewal-side figures, not the ₹39 or ₹89 first-term prices.
