Why You Would Check a Domain's IP

Three commands, any OS:

1. ping yourdomain.com — the response line shows the IP (Windows, Mac, Linux)
2. nslookup yourdomain.com — Windows-classic; shows A records and resolvers
3. dig +short yourdomain.com — the VPS-native answer, one clean line

Online checkers do the same in a browser. One catch: a CDN-fronted domain returns the CDN's edge IP, not the origin — Cloudflare-class setups hide the real server by design.
